Klaus Koester – Vice President/General Manager at Coast Composites

Klaus Koester has been the Vice President/General Manager at Coast Composites since June 10, 2013. Mr. Koester has extensive experience managing aerospace businesses at sites around the world including Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He has most recently worked as VP of Operations at HITCO Carbon Composites. He began his career with Lufthansa in Germany, in 1989, where he held various managerial roles including Managing Director of Lufthansa Cargo India, President & CEO of Hawker Pacific Aerospace and Executive Director at AMECO Beijing, a joint venture of Lufthansa Technik and Air China in Beijing. He graduated from the University of Hamburg with a Masters in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. Koester is also a member of the Mt. San Antonio College Technical Advisory Board

Mark Joanis – Director of Quality at Coast Composites

Mark Joanis has been the Director of Quality at Coast Composites, since March, 1989. With over twenty six years’ experience in quality, Mr. Joanis is responsible for leading the quality efforts within the organization. He drives continual process and product improvement throughout the organization, ensuring product and process integrity leading to customer satisfaction and overall mission success. Mr. Joanis is a certified AS9100c lead quality auditor who on a consistent basis has achieved excellent results.

Tom DeLisle – Vice President of Engineering at Coast Composites

Tom DeLisle has been the Vice President of Engineering at Coast Composites, since April, 1992. He has over thirty years experience in aerospace manufacturing and over 20 years experience in managing manufacturing operations, engineering and production control at Coast. Mr. DeLisle’s major aerospace program experience includes 787, A350, A320, F-35, F-18, B-2, F-14, EF111, Space Shuttle, and Airborne Laser. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Technology from The State University of New York (SUNY), as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Pepperdine University.
